- 14… Nf2+ — the knight goes to f2 with check and at the same time attacks the rook on h1 and the queen on d3.
- 15. Kc2 is forced: it is the best way out of check.
- 15… Nxd3 — the knight takes the queen on d3.
Why it works. One piece attacks two targets at once and the opponent can only save one. At the end of the line Black is about 9 points of material better off.
