Terms of Service
These terms are written in plain language. MindLounge.gg is a small, independently run website, operated by Oleksandr Antoshchuk, a private individual based in Poland (contact: contact form). By using the site you agree to these terms.
Who can use MindLounge
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Your account
Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us through the contact form. One person — one account.
Acceptable use
Use the site for what it is built for: reading, solving puzzles, playing, and taking part in discussions. Do not:
- disrupt the service, abuse rate limits or scrape data at scale;
- interfere with other people's accounts or games;
- harass other users;
- cheat, including using engines or outside help in games against other people;
- create several accounts to get around restrictions;
- post illegal content, spam or advertising.
Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post (forum topics and comments, Journal comments, posts). By posting it you allow MindLounge to show it on the site as part of normal operation. Private messages are visible only to you and the recipient. You are responsible for what you post.
Content moderation and illegal content
Do not post illegal content or material that violates other people's rights (for example, copyright infringement, threats or incitement to violence, fraud).
We host what users post and work on a "notice and action" basis. Anyone can report illegal content to legal@mindlounge.gg or through the contact form (choose "Report illegal content"). Please include the link to the content and explain why you think it is illegal. When a report is valid, we remove the content or disable access to it without undue delay.
We may also remove content, hide comments or restrict accounts that break these terms. Journal comments are checked automatically before they appear (see the Privacy Policy); if a comment is not accepted, you see the reason straight away. If we remove your content or restrict your account, we will tell you why by email at your registered address, naming the rule that was broken. If you think we made a mistake, reply to that email or write to legal@mindlounge.gg — we will look at it again.
Downvoted forum comments may be collapsed by the community; this is part of how the forum works, not a decision by us.
Contact point for authorities
Our single point of contact for EU authorities, including Digital Services Coordinators, and for users under the Digital Services Act is legal@mindlounge.gg. We communicate in English.
Journal content
Journal articles are written with AI assistance, checked against sources and approved by a human editor, as described in our editorial policy. They are for general information and are not professional (medical, legal or other) advice.
Availability
MindLounge is an early-stage project. Features may change, and the site may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Limitation of liability
MindLounge is provided "as is" and "as available", entirely free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including the Polish Civil Code), MindLounge.gg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues or data, resulting from your use of or inability to use the site.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for damage caused intentionally, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Polish Civil Code or applicable EU consumer protection law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in your settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the project develops. We will change the date above and, for important changes, show a notice on the site. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can delete your account.
Governing law and disputes
These terms and any disputes arising out of or related to the site are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its choice-of-law principles. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the laws of your country of residence. Any legal actions or proceedings arising under these terms shall be brought in the courts located in Poland. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
